Use soil, moss, and string to create a living piece of art! Learn about Kokedama, the ancient Japanese practice of growing plants in moss balls. Participants (ages 10–16) will work with a soil mix to cover the roots of a resilient plant, wrap it with moss, and secure it with string or twine—resulting in a hanging plant perfect for any sunny window.
All materials included. Fee includes all-day admission to the Gardens on the day of the program and a guest pass for an adult to enjoy the Gardens during the youth workshop.
