DESCRIPTION:Bring the pups to Scott Arboretum and Gardens’ inaugural Dogwood Doggie Day Out! This casual\, drop-in event is for people and their leashed pets to explore the blooms of spring\, including our flowering dogwood trees. \nActivities will include a dog-friendly guided walking tour of the dogwoods\, self-guided stroll\, and interactive activities to learn about dogwood trees. Meet adoptable dogs from a local shelter and stop by the membership table for a special dog-themed giveaway. A limited number of dogwood trees and doggie goodies will be available\, while supplies last. \nEvents Schedule:  \n9:30 am – 12 pm: \n\nDogwood activity station\nScott Arboretum & Gardens member doggie swag giveaway (one per membership\, while supplies last)\nVisit with adoptable dogs from a local shelter\nDogwood tree giveaway\nSelf-guided tour\n\n10 – 11 am: Dog-Friendly Dogwood Tour \nProgram Details:  \n\nThis event will be held in the Wister Center Parking Lot.\nIn case of inclement weather\, the event will be held inside the Wister Center.\nAll children must be accompanied by an adult.\nPets must be on a leash at all times to be in compliance with Swarthmore Ordinance 949.608.02.\nEmail us if you have accessibility needs for this program.\nFor more information\, review our program and event policies or call the Scott Arboretum office at 610-328-8025.

DESCRIPTION:FOR ALL AGES \nConnect your family with the outdoors on this fun\, interactive nature exploration designed to spark curiosity and wonder. Using simple tools like magnifying glasses\, you will uncover the Arboretum’s plants\, animals\, and other seasonal highlights that bring the woodland trails to life. \nAbout your guides:  \nForest Knight is one of Tyler’s Lead Educators. They help run Tyler’s field trips and summer camp programs. They have a love of nature and have worked in the outdoor education field for 4+ years.  \nBarbara Frank is a PA Master Naturalist\, a Tyler-trained docent\, a yoga teacher\, an artist\, and a true lover of nature in all of its manifestations. She leads tours for children and adults.  \nPRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED \nThis program is best suited for elementary school-aged children accompanied by an adult. Family and siblings of any age are welcome. All children must be accompanied by a registered adult. \nCheck in at the Visitor Center\, where you’ll meet your guide. As with any walk at Tyler\, sturdy shoes are suggested. PLEASE NOTE: Strollers may not be ideal on some of our trails. We recommend a carrier if you plan to bring an infant or young child. Weather or other factors may adjust the day’s topic\, but nature will always shine through! In case of inclement weather\, the tour will move indoors. \nMEMBERS:  FREE \nNON-MEMBERS: $18 per adult; $10 per child ages 3-17; children two and under are free and do not need to be registered. Admission is included in your price\, so feel free to stay the day! \nGUEST PASS HOLDERS: (for non-members only): FREE. Please give your guest passes to the Visitor Center Associate at check-in\, or inform them that you are accompanying a Family or higher-level member as their guest. This program is free with your guest pass admission\, so feel free to stay as long as you’d like after the program! \nLIBRARY PASS HOLDERS: FREE.
