This script-in-hand live reading celebrates the beloved 1979 film that introduced audiences to Kermit\, his fellow furry and feathered friends\, and launched a thousand felt-covered dreams.\nBefore Kermit picked up a banjo and sang about rainbows\, it all started with a script. Written by Jerry Juhl and Jack Burns and paired with the unforgettable music of Paul Williams and Kenny Ascher\, the screenplay of The Muppet Movie launched a pop culture phenomenon that has inspired generations of dreamers.\nThis special fundraiser invites audiences to rediscover the heart\, humor\, and harmony of the film featuring a lively cast of classic Muppets and human “guest star” roles. Our event celebrates the magic of imagination\, the power of community\, and the timeless idea that “life’s like a movie\, write your own ending.”\nRecommended for all audiences.
