We are thrilled to host HM Brower, a professional Invertebrate Educator from Insectopia, who will lead participants through McKaig’s diverse meadows and woodlands to observe our local insect populations in their natural habitats.
• Field Exploration: Identify the diverse species that play critical roles in our local ecosystem, from pollinators to forest decomposers.
• Expert Instruction: Learn directly from HM Brower about insect adaptations, lifecycles, and the importance of biodiversity.
• Spot the “McKaig’s Flying Tigers”: the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, one of Pennsylvania’s most iconic and beautiful native butterflies
