Details: Media’s main street closes down for traffic and opens up for al fresco dining from Jackson to Orange Sts. There is live music all along State Street and over a dozen different restaurants participating in the seasonal event. Reservations are nice, but not required and with so many places to choose from, walk-ins are definitely welcome.

Nature Mindfulness for Kids: With Prana Llama Yoga

Join us at Chanticleer: a Pleasure Garden, for a 4-week series of mindfulness classes led by Prana Llama Yoga instructor Amy Swanson. Each 50-minute class incorporates movement and mindfulness experiences geared toward children ages 7-12.
Surrounded by the serene flowers and trees of Chanticleer, children will ease into the beautiful landscape, leaving behind any challenges from the day, and learning breathing techniques and relaxation methods to incorporate in everyday activities. Mindfulness practices benefit every aspect of our lives by teaching us to notice our breath and acknowledge our emotions.
While children participate in class, caretakers are asked to remain on Chanticleer grounds. Feel free to stroll our gardens or relax in one of our many comfortable chairs or benches. The program will take place rain or shine, an indoor location is available in the event of bad weather.
If you arrive earlier than 4:00 to enjoy the Garden before the class, please plan to pay admission– General admission: $12, With Radnor Library card: $6, With season pass: Free. Kids 12 and under are free

Fall Harvest Festival at Newlin Grist Mill

The festival will feature a variety of historic skills and trades demonstrations, as well as fun activities for kids of all ages. Visitors can learn colonial dancing with the Heritage Dancers, enjoy performances by Tuckers’ Tales Puppet Theatre, and play 18th-century games! Many favorite activities from years past will be returning, including pumpkin painting and hayrides.
A Colonial Market will offer up handcrafted goods for sale, and a Tavern will feature beverages from Deer Creek Malthouse and Penns Woods Winery. Parking is $5 per car. Shuttle buses between the parking area and the festival site will run every 15 minutes throughout the event. Additional costs apply for hayrides and pumpkin painting.
