Buckle up and unfold your map! The giant sand sculptures are returning this summer. For the fifth consecutive year, Peddler’s Village will present a Village-wide sand sculpture display created by world-renowned sand artists. “Sights in Sand: An American Road Trip” will celebrate the iconic landmarks and history of our nation, now in its 250th year. It’s not every day you can travel across the county in just an hour or two (by foot, no less!) to experience the five major regions–Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, and West–and the fantastic features of each. But this year at Peddler’s Village, we’ve made it possible! You’ll see the Statue of Liberty, the Kennedy Space Center, Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, and more. This free display is open to the public and will be on view to Village pedestrians through August 31. In addition to viewing the sand sculptures, visitors can shop at 60 specialty store and boutiques, dine indoors or outside, and enjoy spectacular gardens and landscaping. Families can enjoy Giggleberry Fair, the indoor fun center. Spacious overnight accommodations are available at the Golden Plough Inn.

RiverFest returns bigger than ever as we celebrate 10 years of one of Muhlenberg Township's favorite traditions, along with the Township's 175th Anniversary! For the first time, the entire RiverFest trail will be open on Friday, August 21, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, kicking off the weekend with an evening of live music, great food, cold drinks, and fireworks. Enjoy performances by Vinyl Rush and Bunchafunk before capping off the night with a spectacular fireworks display. The celebration continues on Saturday, August 22, from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Sunday, August 23, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Throughout the weekend, festival-goers can explore a wide variety of food vendors, artisan crafters, and local businesses offering unique handmade goods, delicious eats, and one-of-a-kind treasures. Whether you're coming for the music, food, shopping, or family-friendly atmosphere, RiverFest 2026 promises an unforgettable weekend celebrating the rich history and vibrant community of Muhlenberg Township. Valley Forge Signal Seekers (VFSS) is a family-friendly remote control aviation club and will be providing FREE hands-on introductory flight experiences.Saturday, August 22, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the club flying field at Valley Forge National Historical Park (Aeronautics Court, Strafford, PA 19087). Witness hundreds of butterflies floating on the wind! Wander through manicured gardens, visit local artisans, and learn about an amazing pollinator and how we can help them. Join us for Colonial Gardens’ annual Butterfly Festival and experience all this and more! This year, we will be releasing hundreds of butterflies, typically monarch butterflies. All guests are welcome to learn about these magnificent creatures, their lives and their threats during our seminars, patronize our local crafters, and enjoy the gardens. Those folks who make a reservation will have the opportunity to release a butterfly during one of our mass releases. There are four mass release opportunities. Each reservation entitles you to release one butterfly at the timeslot you select: 10AM, 12PM, 2PM, or 4PM. If you do not wish to release a butterfly, you may attend the event for free, without a reservation or ticket. The event also includes: Local artisans, vendors, and nonprofits Four educational seminars about monarch butterflies Lush, beautiful gardens to wander Native and pollinator-friendly plants for purchase Hayrides through our woods for $5/person Because this event is outdoors, we do have a rain date of Sunday, August 24th. We will announce the change in date the morning of the event and alert all guests with reservations via email. For the safety of the butterflies, we will only exercise this option if there is predicted steady rain throughout the event and the forecast is improved for Sunday. This event is pet-friendly, so long as dogs are leashed, friendly, and cleaned up after. In an effort to protect little lungs, we ask that there is no smoking on grounds.

This event is completely free of charge, including the food trucks! This year, the Resource Fair will be hosted at the Aaron's Acres Campus, in Millersville, PA.
