Backyard Bash

We’re turning Hamilton Hall into an indoor backyard party on Saturday, March 14 with hands-on art, music, games, and plenty of ways to burn off some energy. Hop in a moon bounce — toddlers can jump in Meeting Room West, while school-age kids bounce it out in the Southwest Pavilion. Create a colorful spin art frisbee — choose your paints, give it a whirl, and watch your design come to life. Make radiant, sun-catching artwork with facilitators from Project Joy, exploring color, light, and shape in a playful creative workshop. Feel the rhythm with an interactive percussion performance from the graduate percussion group at University of Delaware, complete with instrument show-and-tell and a chance for kids to try child-safe percussion instruments. Spring Craft Workshop for kids

Kids catch and release weekend

Cabela's (Hamburg) 100 Cabela’s Drive, Hamburg

Join us in our FREE Kids Catch and Release Weekend on March 14th and 15th from 11am-4pm to fish the Cabela's Outdoor Pond! (Weather Permitting) If temperatures are too cold to fish outdoors, we will be providing an indoor fishing option. Everyone gets a chance to fish!We will have a set number of lines in the water and have a 20-minute wave time during our busy periods. Although you may bring your own supplies, rod combos and bait will be provided during this event. It’s a great time to celebrate the start of fishing season at Cabela’s in Hamburg. Join us for Kids’ Weekend from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 14 and 15 during our Spring Classic Fishing Sale! Help your young anglers hone their casting skills and learn from our team of expert Outfitters, with FREE activities and crafts designed to set them up for success. Event highlights: Catch-and-Release Ponds Photo downloads Casting Challenge Fishing Crafts Johnny Morris Signature Steak Strip Sampling Edit: Hamburg Cabela's does not have an age limit to fish during these events. We are also very accommodating to elderly and special needs individuals. Easter Egg Hunt

Hop over to Cabela's in Hamburg for our annual EASTER EGG HUNT!  (3/14/2026) We listened to YOU and are changing things up this year! Enjoy an OUTDOOR & AGE GROUPED (12 y/o and under) egg hunt with over 4000+ eggs! Remember to BYOEB (Bring your own Easter basket!). Age group colors and times:Pink - 0-2 y/o at 4:00 pmBlue - 3-5 y/o at 4:15 pmPurple - 6-8 y/o at 4:30 pmGreen - 9-12 y/o at 4:45 pm Great news, all! We have listened to your concerns and have decided to start each age group in 15 min intervals of each other to ensure kids with families of multiple age groups are accompanied by an adult. If you have any questions or concerns for this event, please do not hesitate to ask. This is our first year hosting an egg hunt like this, so we appreciate any feedback that is given. You may notice this is the same day as the first day of Spring Fishing Classic Catch and Release!
