Get ready to honk, climb, and explore at our Touch-A-Truck Event! Bring the kids out for a hands-on experience where they can get up close to their favorite big trucks and vehicles. From emergency vehicles to construction equipment and more, this is a fun and interactive way for children (and adults!) to see these awesome trucks in action and meet the people who operate them. Location: Hickory Park Perfect for families Don’t forget your camera!Come out for a day of discovery, excitement, and plenty of horn honks. Create a theme song for a favorite show, book, or game using GarageBand on iPad. We’ll cover rhythm basics, and kids will experiment with drums, add prerecorded loops, and remix their theme song. Code and create as a family with Swift Playground using iPad. Kids will experiment with code and design an app using the About Me playground. They’ll use Swift code to customize their app with fun fonts, background colors, emoji, and more. Then you’ll work together to bring their app to life. Recommended for kids ages 10 and up. All ages welcome! We hope to have fire trucks, police vehicles, RV’s, municipal vehicles, farm equipment, army jeeps, classic cars…all manner of wheeled vehicles! Get up close, ask questions, and, in most cases, climb aboard. We will have free snacks, a raffle, and prizes for the kiddos…and even a DJ!
