This exhibit blends active play, creativity, and imagination in a safe, lighthearted space where kids can jump, climb, balance, and create together. What kids can do: 🐑 Get busy in the barn: hop on balance boards, traverse climbing walls, and test your skills on farmyard tires. 🎭 Dress for adventure: try on “championsheep” costumes. 🏡 Crack the farmyard rules: figure out the puzzles to light up the farmhouse windows. 🐶 Play with Bitzer: mix and match his face to invent new expressions. 🌳 Rescue the flock: help a sheep stuck high in a tree. 🎬 Make your own movie: create a stop-motion animation with scrap-heap props. 🚜 Hop in the truck: pretend to drive into the village. 📚 Cozy up: grab a sheep seat and enjoy story time with farm-themed books

    Sensory Hour at the Railroad Museum of PA! March 14, 2026. 9 AM - 10 AM Join us for Sensory Hour at the Railroad Museum of PA! The museum will reduce lighting, sounds, and maintain a low attendance. We will have “quiet spaces” for breaks, and a few trains open with museum staff present to answer questions. Sensory Hour attendees are welcome to stay after the Museum opens to the public at 10 AM, but please note that the sensory-friendly environment will not be maintained, and can be very busy. *Please note that pre-registration for ALL attendees is required.     We’re turning Hamilton Hall into an indoor backyard party on Saturday, March 14 with hands-on art, music, games, and plenty of ways to burn off some energy. Hop in a moon bounce — toddlers can jump in Meeting Room West, while school-age kids bounce it out in the Southwest Pavilion. Create a colorful spin art frisbee — choose your paints, give it a whirl, and watch your design come to life. Make radiant, sun-catching artwork with facilitators from Project Joy, exploring color, light, and shape in a playful creative workshop. Feel the rhythm with an interactive percussion performance from the graduate percussion group at University of Delaware, complete with instrument show-and-tell and a chance for kids to try child-safe percussion instruments.     American Helicopter Museum 1220 American Boulevard, West Chester, PA, United States

    STEMFest at the American Helicopter Museum is a family event dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Hosted by the American Helicopter Museum and Education Center, STEMFest offers students and families hands-on learning experiences focused on aviation, engineering, and all things STEM.   The event features two days of interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, science shows, food trucks, helicopter rides (additional fee), and tabletop activities led by community and industry professionals. Participants will be able to watch a drone fly, build a model rocket, talk to a pilot, and interact with companies that are creating the technology of tomorrow.   STEMFest will offer an educational experience that inspires the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators—where learning truly takes flight.
