  • Family Creek Critter Day

    Take the plunge with your whole family and spend the afternoon exploring Angelica Creek! Use nets and buckets to gently dip into the water in search of macroinvertebrates - tiny, aquatic critters who can tell us a lot about the health of their aquatic home. Together we will collect and identify these fascinating creatures. Side-by-side, kids and adults will look closely at how one creek can support life of all sizes. It will be a day of exploring, hands-on science, and plenty of splashing, so come prepared to get wet! Please note, end times are approximate. Registration ends Thursday, July 23, 2026

  • Art by Nature

    Join us for Art by Nature at Angelica Park, a community celebration of creativity inspired by the natural world! Enjoy live music, yard games, and vendors as you stroll through our open air gallery or update your closet at the community clothing swap. Then, upcycled fasion pieces will walk the runway during the festival's main event: the Recycled Fashion Show! The whole family will enjoy this full day of community, art, and sustainable fashion so come out and experience Angelica Creek Park in a creative, new way!

    Insects, spiders, crustaceans, oh my! This weekend celebrates everything arthropods. Enjoy a variety of activities and displays in our gardens, patio, and Butterfly House. You can look forward to live arthropod displays, honeybee meet & greet, buggy crafts, and more!Admission is $8/person. CNC Members and children ages 3 and under are FREE. Admission is pay-at-the-door.Saturday & Sunday, August 1st & 2nd. 11:00 am - 4:00 pm.This event will be held outside in the gardens. The nature center building will remain free to enter.

  • Singing Insects Campfire

    Churchville Nature Center 501 Churchville Lane, Churchville, PA, United States

    Join us for the Singing Insects Campfire on Friday, August 7th from 8-10 pm! Enjoy a toasted marshmallow while being serenaded by the calls of crickets, cicadas, and katydids around the campfire. Learn how and why some insects sing in the summer, then go on a brief night hike to look for them. This campfire program is $3 for CNC members and $5 for non-members. Pre-registration is required!
