This is where magic happens, and we can’t wait to share it with you!  See you under the Night Lights.   Frequently Asked Questions   Where is this located?Maple Grove Raceway is located 20 minutes south of Reading, Pennsylvania in Mohnton. 1.5 hours outside of Philadelphia.  Does everyone need a ticket? What if I just want to watch? Everyone 7 and older needs a ticket to enter the venue. Kids 6 and under are free. Unfortunately, we don’t offer spectator passes. Each ticket includes a lantern kit and general admission.  What about all the trash? Isn’t this bad for the environment? Every event is equipped with a full cleaning crew and LANTERN CHASERS who track the wind speed and direction so we can account for each and every lantern that goes up. This crew continues a widespread search for lanterns before we leave our event location. This meticulous process takes a full 48 hours and three separate trips, during which the area is surveyed with extensive care. What if a lantern IS missed during pickup? We only use ecologically harmless and 100% biodegradable lanterns made of rice paper, bamboo, and string. We take pride in leaving our event space cleaner than when we found it.  Is this safe? First off, it IS dangerous to launch lanterns without the proper precautions in place. At our events, we have ALL of the proper precautions, permits, and permissions taken care of to guarantee a safe event for our attendees and the community. Our events make it possible to enjoy the beauty and magic without risk. Second, our lanterns have a short-burning fuel cell. They go up and the fuel cell burns out causing them to fall out of the sky without embers or flames. Finally, we work closely with the local law enforcement and fire authorities — we even have the local fire authorities at each event to oversee our launch.  What should I bring? We recommend a camp chair, blanket, and a jacket. Outside coolers aren’t allowed. Your ticket includes your lantern kit and everything you need to launch your lantern. Fire pits and s’mores kits are available for purchase on location. We can’t wait to light the skies over Pennsylvania. Will you be there?
