    “You don’t even know what afraid is.” We’re hosting a series of special drive-in movie screenings in the Zoo’s parking lot! Our August Drive-In Zoovie is Jumanji (1995). See below for tickets and details. Zoovies | Jumanji (1995) | 1hr 44m | Rated PG August 28 | 7:00 PM – Parking Lot Opens | 8:00 PM – Film Begins Tickets and Info* Adult Guest | $15 per adult Child Guest | $12 per child   * Guests must indicate how many cars they are bringing when purchasing tickets. Tickets are required for each guest (adult and child) attending. The parking lot will be open at 7 PM, and the film will begin at 8 PM. Our drive-in screenings are held in the former softball field section of the Zoo’s parking lot. Concessions will be available for purchase during the film. In the event of inclement weather, all ticket holders will be notified if a screening is canceled or rescheduled 2 weeks prior to the event. The radio station frequency broadcasting the film’s audio to cars will be provided to ticket holders in advance of the event.

    On Saturday, August 29 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, visit the zoo with your favorite stuffed animal friend and our staff will treat them to their very own health exam! Our Teddy Bear Clinic is a perfect event for helping your little ones to become more comfortable around the idea of going to the doctor!   • Eco-Family Programs: Monarch Madness

    Help educators kick off the start of fall migration for the beautiful and endangered Monarch butterfly! Get a first-hand look at the different life stages of this insect, and learn about their incredible migration journey, and get a chance to provide a butterfly habitat in your own neighborhood by bringing home a host plant of your own! This program is FREE to attend; registration is required.   • Zoo Snooze

    Discover what happens at the zoo after the sun goes down at Elmwood Park Zoo’s “Zoo Snooze” overnight campouts! Zoo Snooze campouts are recommended for children ages 4 and up. Outside food and beverages are permitted, but coolers will be checked upon entry to the zoo.   • Art in the Park

    Expressive Path’s Annual Art in the Park, Arts & Music Festival will be on September 12, 2026 inside the zoo! Guests can enjoy live music, vendors, food, animal greets, student performances and art for the community. Zoo Brew Beer Garden will be open for guests 21+. This event is free to attend with zoo admission. Norristown residents (19401) can attend Art in the Park from 10 AM-4 PM for free – registration is required. This event benefits a local organization, Expressive Path. “Expressive Path’s primary goal is helping adolescents who may otherwise not have the opportunity to participate in the arts. They promote diversity, cultural interests, education, and community enrichment.
