  • Visit the Lenape Village: An Educational History Experience for all

    Come experience our hands-on, living history program about the Lenape people in our recreated Lenape Native American Village on Saturday, November 8th from 11 am - 4 pm. Trained educators will present different stations, introducing different aspects of the daily life of the Lenape people including gardening, hunting, fire making, family life, and cooking. Enjoy games, crafts, and activities around the nature center as well! This exclusive event is an opportunity for the public to see and witness our widely acclaimed and unique Lenape Village program! In addition, please visit our Native American Memorabilia Market that will be held inside the nature center, also from 11 am - 4 pm. On sale will be more than 100 items (Native American reproductions, many handmade) that were collected, purchased by, or gifted to the former Lenape Village Director, Marge Custer. All Market proceeds will benefit the Lenape Village education program. Admission is $6 for CNC members and $9 for non-members. Pre-registration is optional, however online pre-registration will allow you express entry into the village!   • Holiday Kick-off Weekend Grand Illumination Celebration

    Peddler’s Village lights up with a million colorful lights on Friday, November 14 at our Grand Illumination Celebration! Join us from 4:30-9 p.m. and enjoy appearances by Santa, live performances, and outdoor food & drinks. The lights switch on at 6:15 p.m. sharp. The holiday light display will be up until January 19! Our annual Gingerbread Competition & Display also begins on Friday, November 14 at our Visitor & Event Center! On Saturday and Sunday, visitors can enjoy a variety of live entertainment throughout the Village, including carolers, strolling performers, and other holiday surprises. Santa is available for photos at Giggleberry Fair. As always, admission and parking are free. IMPORTANT NOTE about the Grand Illumination Celebration on Friday evening: Visitors who wish to experience the Grand Illumination Ceremony should plan to arrive no later than 5:30 p.m. This is a very popular event and parking can reach full capacity, so please plan to arrive as early as possible. We would advise against bringing dogs to this event as the pathways become congested.
