    FOR ALL AGES Connect your family with the outdoors on this fun, interactive nature exploration designed to spark curiosity and wonder. Seek out the day’s wonders at the Arboretum, uncovering plants, animals, and other seasonal highlights that bring the landscape to life. Led by knowledgeable guides, your adventure may take you to the pond, through shady woodland trails, or into sunny meadows — each offering its own unique discoveries. Using simple tools like magnifying glasses, you’ll take a closer look at the natural world and learn more about its hidden connections. About your guide: Forest Knight is one of Tyler’s Lead Educators. Forest joined Tyler’s Education Department in April of last year, and they help run the Arboretum’s field trips and summer camp programs. They have a love of nature and have worked in the outdoor education field for 4+ years.  PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED The program is best suited for elementary school-aged children accompanied by an adult. Family and siblings of any age are welcome. Check in at the Visitor Center, where you’ll meet your guide. As with any walk at Tyler, sturdy shoes are suggested. PLEASE NOTE: Strollers may not be ideal on some of our trails. We recommend a carrier if you plan to bring an infant or young child. Weather or other factors may adjust the day’s topic, but nature will always shine through! In case of inclement weather, the tour will move indoors.   MEMBERS:  FREE NON-MEMBERS: $18 per adult; $10 per child ages 3-17; children two and under are free and do not need to be registered. Admission is included in your price, so feel free to stay the day!     Join Plant 4 Good and Sarah James Handmade for a heartfelt card-making event benefiting senior living communities in Ardmore and Germantown. Our goal is to create 100 handmade Valentine’s cards to brighten someone’s day. This event supports The Cupid Project, a national initiative delivering Valentine’s cards to nursing homes every year since 2018. An estimated 1.2 million seniors experience chronic loneliness each Valentine’s Day—many have lost a spouse and receive few or no visitors. 🗓 Saturday, February 7 🕐 1–4 PM (drop in anytime) 📍 Plant 4 Good, 100 Cricket Ave, Ardmore, PA All ages are welcome. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Please sign up so we know how many participants to expect! There is no cost to participate, though donations toward supplies are appreciated.     FOR ALL AGES Learn to navigate Tyler’s trail system. Walk along easy trails on this leisurely hike that’s perfect for the whole family, giving you plenty of time to pause, observe, and ask questions. Even in winter, the woods are full of surprises, leaving plenty to see, hear, and talk about as you explore. What to expect: • Leisurely-paced 1-2 mile trail hike • Learn how to navigate Tyler’s trail system • Seasonal observations and nature discovery • Changes in grade and walking surfaces, including pavement, grass, gravel, and rocky trails What to wear & carry: • Dress in layers for the weather • Hiking boots or sturdy shoes with good tread • Water and a snack • Strollers are not suitable on our trails. We recommend a carrier if you plan to bring an infant or young child. About your guide: Dave is a long-time Tyler volunteer and naturalist. He is a founding member of our docent program and a certified PA Master Naturalist. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  Check in at the Visitor Center, where you’ll meet your guide.  Members (sign in for your discount!): FREE. A registered adult must accompany all children. Non-Members: $18 per adult ages 18-64: $15 per senior adult ages 65+; $10 per child ages 3-17; no charge for children ages two and under. The fee includes admission, so feel free to spend the day at Tyler! A registered adult must accompany all children. Guest Pass Registrants (for non-members only): FREE.
