A walk from the Schuylkill River Trail's South Street entrance, headed south then back. We'll learn about the nature we see along the way This nature walk will take children and their families from the bottom of the South Street stairwell, south along the Schuylkill River trail for 20-25 minutes, then back up to our meeting spot. This program will be filled with dawdling and stops to explore- we're walking with toddlers so don't expect to get far! Nourish your child's love and curiosity for nature without hauling them out to The Wissahickon or FDR Park. We'll learn about and appreciate the nature that Center City kids see every day, because whether we notice it or not, nature is all around us! Tr. Erica will guide the children through trail courtesy and safety, while keeping them engaged and interested in the sights along the trail. Please bring bug spray and water for your little one, and dress them for the weather. Sneakers or strappy, sturdy sandals are best, and if your little one doesn't want to wear them please consider bringing the appropriate shoes in your bag or stroller. Some other things you may want to bring along are snacks, a sunhat, and sunglasses. Sunscreen typically takes 15-30 minutes to start working, so it's a good idea to apply it before heading over to meet us. Tip: If you'll be bringing your kiddo in a stroller, apply the sunscreen once they're strapped in. That way, they're limited in how much they can wiggle and squirm away from the sunblock! The Schuylkill River Trail follows the river which is, at some points, up to 30 feet deep. Most of the trail is separated from the river with guard rails, fencing, or thick plants. A few small portions, however, have no divider. This is usually fine for most kiddos, but let's always remember: some little ones are dare-devils, some are escape artists, and some are just plain wild! Please be sure that whichever adult is accompanying your child on this walk would be able to stop your child from putting themselves into harm's way. The trail is also used by runners, bicyclists, and pets. Because of this, everyone in the group will need to stay aware of our surroundings for the children's sake and the adults'.

“Putt Past the Stigma” is a fun-filled mini golf fundraiser hosted by the Trojan Men of PHS, bringing the community together for a meaningful cause. Join us for an afternoon of friendly competition, laughter, and awareness as we take steps—one putt at a time—toward breaking the stigma around mental health. All proceeds will be donated to National Alliance on Mental Illness to support advocacy, education, and hope.

BEEP BEEP……BIG TRUCKS COMING THROUGH!  Join us at Charlann Farms on May 30th from 11am-3pm for tons of BIG fun on the farm! Kids can explore farm equipment and different vehicles they often see in the community! We’ll also have a jump pad, pony rides, food trucks, face painting, sand art, henna tattoos, balloon art, a DJ, vendors and more! From 1754 to 1763 the French and Indian War played out across Colonial America as the French and British fought for control of the frontier. This conflict determined not only the future of the Pennsylvania frontier but also events that put the loyal colonials on a path to revolution! Visit the French and Chester County militia campsites to learn from the soldiers about their uniforms, weapons, and strategy for fighting in the American wilderness.   Last admission at 3 PM. $12 for Adults, $8 for Children 4-12, Children under 4 are free

We are extremely excited for this one! We are bringing you the best of the best food trucks. Trucks will be competing for the title of Lancaster’s Best. We will have a panel of judges who will judge each truck and decide our winner. We will also have the community vote as well for the community choice. This is pay as you go. Entertainment generously provided by Lancaster’s best DJ, DJ Eddie Ed from E & C Entertainment. New this year:We heard you, the lines were long last year. That’s great for food trucks but not so much you. So we decided to make this a two day event. That way there’s more time and less rush to enjoy all that is offered. We realized we dropped the ball on parking last year. This year we have a designated parking team to help direct and control parking and traffic. Parking is $5 per car, no matter if there’s two or ten people inside.
