    On Saturday, May 23rd, the Wyomissing community will gather once again to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Please join us for Wyomissing’s Annual Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony at Wyomissing Hills Memorial Park & Playground — a meaningful tradition rooted in gratitude, remembrance, and community unity. The Parade will assemble and stage in the Wyomissing Hills Elementary School parking lot and step off promptly at 10:00 am. Following the parade, a solemn Memorial Service will be held at the memorial, offering a time for reflection and tribute to those who served and sacrificed so much for our freedoms. We encourage all Wyomissing residents to display the American flag with pride — on this day and throughout Memorial Day Weekend — as a shared symbol of respect for our nation’s fallen heroes.

    FOR ALL AGES Connect your family with the outdoors on this fun, interactive nature exploration designed to spark curiosity and wonder. Using simple tools like magnifying glasses, you will uncover the Arboretum’s plants, animals, and other seasonal highlights that bring the woodland trails to life. About your guides:  Forest Knight is one of Tyler’s Lead Educators. They help run Tyler’s field trips and summer camp programs. They have a love of nature and have worked in the outdoor education field for 4+ years.  Barbara Frank is a PA Master Naturalist, a Tyler-trained docent, a yoga teacher, an artist, and a true lover of nature in all of its manifestations. She leads tours for children and adults.  PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED This program is best suited for elementary school-aged children accompanied by an adult. Family and siblings of any age are welcome. All children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Check in at the Visitor Center, where you’ll meet your guide. As with any walk at Tyler, sturdy shoes are suggested. PLEASE NOTE: Strollers may not be ideal on some of our trails. We recommend a carrier if you plan to bring an infant or young child. Weather or other factors may adjust the day’s topic, but nature will always shine through! In case of inclement weather, the tour will move indoors. MEMBERS:  FREE NON-MEMBERS: $18 per adult; $10 per child ages 3-17; children two and under are free and do not need to be registered. Admission is included in your price, so feel free to stay the day!
