A Christmas Market featuring local art, crafts, and food will be held at the Mennonite Heritage Center, 565 Yoder Road, Harleysville, on Friday, December 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kick off the holiday season with the Mennonite Heritage Center’s Christmas Market! It features local artisan crafts and food. Artists will display a variety of local and handcrafted gifts including knitted and crocheted hats and gloves, handwoven baskets, fraktur, and wood crafts. The Christmas Market will also offer local food and ingredients from Awckland’s Sugar Shack and Apiary and more. Additional specialty crafts will be available in-store for the entire month of December. Both days, shop to holiday music provided by local musicians. Artists Linda Bohlman Trauger, Lois Showalter Blankenship, and Roy Blankenship whose exhibit “Colorful Inspirations—Near and Far” is currently in the Lapp Art Gallery will be present for a meet and greet both days of the Christmas Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Get a jump on holiday shopping and into the Christmas spirit!
