Learn some basic facts, touch feathers, and hopefully hear a wild owl. Bring a flashlight and wear sturdy walking shoes. All trails are natural, they may have roots and rock. Space is limited. The front gate will close 10 minutes after the program starts. Join us on Saturday, November 8th from 10 to 4 as we prepare for winter at our annual Harvest Festival! Join in on demonstrations of harvest chores such as cider pressing, candle dipping, corn shelling, flax culture as well as some fun crafts. There will also be demonstrations of 18th century cooking and meat smoking in the smokehouse. There will also be periodic meet and greets throughout the day with one of our oxen, Sam!

Come experience our hands-on, living history program about the Lenape people in our recreated Lenape Native American Village on Saturday, November 8th from 11 am - 4 pm. Trained educators will present different stations, introducing different aspects of the daily life of the Lenape people including gardening, hunting, fire making, family life, and cooking. Enjoy games, crafts, and activities around the nature center as well! This exclusive event is an opportunity for the public to see and witness our widely acclaimed and unique Lenape Village program! In addition, please visit our Native American Memorabilia Market that will be held inside the nature center, also from 11 am - 4 pm. On sale will be more than 100 items (Native American reproductions, many handmade) that were collected, purchased by, or gifted to the former Lenape Village Director, Marge Custer. All Market proceeds will benefit the Lenape Village education program. Admission is $6 for CNC members and $9 for non-members. Pre-registration is optional, however online pre-registration will allow you express entry into the village!
