The Planet is a highly interactive and playful museum exhibit created by the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia! 18 unique educational holes explore butterfly metamorphosis, a tropical rain forest, evolution, dinosaur extinction, food chains, and more. Perfect for kids of all ages, your entire family will enjoy playing miniature golf while learning about our environment – every step of the way! We strongly recommend purchasing tickets online before you visit! Please be mindful when purchasing tickets that if you purchase the last ticket available for the day you can not be late. Step into the world of Mossy Bottom Farm and join Shaun the Sheep™ and his flock of friends for a baa-rilliant adventure! Shaun the Sheep™: Flock This Way! is a hands-on exhibit that encourages playful problem-solving and resilience through fun, quirky activities inspired by Aardman’s award-winning animations. This exhibit blends active play, creativity, and imagination in a safe, lighthearted space where kids can jump, climb, balance, and create together. What kids can do: 🐑 Get busy in the barn: hop on balance boards, traverse climbing walls, and test your skills on farmyard tires. 🎭 Dress for adventure: try on “championsheep” costumes. 🏡 Crack the farmyard rules: figure out the puzzles to light up the farmhouse windows. 🐶 Play with Bitzer: mix and match his face to invent new expressions. 🌳 Rescue the flock: help a sheep stuck high in a tree. 🎬 Make your own movie: create a stop-motion animation with scrap-heap props. 🚜 Hop in the truck: pretend to drive into the village. 📚 Cozy up: grab a sheep seat and enjoy story time with farm-themed books

Every Friday, Ms. Alex will lead us in stories at 10:30am. Some weeks we'll have music, crafts, or snacks, depending on the theme! Please let us know if you are planning on coming so we can plan how much space we'll need. Suggested for ages 3-6

Pennsylvania’s Birthday

Daniel Boone Homestead 400 Daniel Boone Rd, Birdsboro

The Daniel Boone Homestead Associates are excited to kick off their 2025 season with their annual Open House event – Pennsylvania’s Birthday. Formerly known as Charter Day, this event recognizes the day William Penn received his land grant for Pennsylvania from King Charles II of England in 1681. In observance of Pennsylvania’s founding, the Daniel Boone Homestead will offer an exciting open house and living history event featuring eighteenth century demonstrations, trades, and hands-on activities. Visitors can enjoy open-house tours of the Boone House and learn about the three families who lived there during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Volunteer will be cooking a hearty meal over the open hearth and discuss the “6 Weeks of Want.” In the parlor, visitors can view an apothecary display and learn about medicine in the eighteenth century. Other buildings in the historic area will also be open for viewing including the Smokehouse, Blacksmith Shop, Homestead Barn, and Bertolet Log House. Throughout the historic area, volunteers will demonstrate spinning, blacksmithing, and gunsmithing. In the craft shop, visitors can try writing with a quill pen and learn about education in the eighteenth century. Plus, children and their families can enjoy colonial toys and games. No admission is charged for this program, but donations are welcome. Please no pets (except service animals) and no smoking on site. Several activities and demonstrations are weather dependent. This program is funded and presented by the Daniel Boone Homestead Associates.

Pennsbury Manor 400 Pennsbury Memorial Road, Morrisville

Join us in celebrating Pennsylvania’s birthday at the home of its founder, William Penn! Take a tour of the Manor House, observe colonial craftspeople as they demonstrate the art of blacksmithing, woodworking and spinning, watch history come to life with a performance by our Living History Theater troupe, and visit with the animals. And, meet other local history organizations to learn more about their plans for America’s 250th. This event is FREE to the public. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to donate to a local food bank.
