The Elizabethtown Fair is one of 109 Pennsylvania State Fairs. We offer animal, agricultural, competitive and commercial exhibits. We have a free barnyard, free nightly entertainment, contests for all ages, rides and lots of great food! Be sure to pick up our premium book which can be found at many local Etown businesses. Each August the Elizabethtown Fair provides an opportunity for the showcasing of agriculture in Lancaster County and surrounding counties. Many local civic organizations and church groups use the Fair as their principal fundraiser for the year. It is also an opportunity for local businesses and organizations to promote themselves. We’re hosting a Back to School Bash Dine every day this week where you can join your favorite furry friends as they share their favorite parts of going to school and enjoy a delicious, fun-filled feast! Bring your donations to the park, and as a thank you, you'll receive $10 Sesame Cash to spend on the day of your visit. To receive $10 Sesame Cash, please bring a new 17" backpack OR three of the following: disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, or tissues. Limit $20 Sesame Cash per household. Sesame Cash is only valid on the day received and will only be issued for the items listed above in the quantities listed above. All items will be donated to United Way of Bucks County, a local organization that assists families and school districts throughout the county. Saturdays, June 13 through September 5 10 am to 4 pm Step into the past this summer at the Speaker’s House with our Living History Saturdays series, kicking off on Flag Day weekend. From Flag Day through Labor Day weekend, the grounds will come alive every Saturday with engaging, hands-on demonstrations that bring 18th-century life into vivid focus. Visitors can explore the daily experiences of Revolutionary War soldiers, witness traditional hearth cooking, and learn skilled crafts like tape weaving and wood turning. Additional demonstrations include historic laundry practices, trades of the period, and other immersive activities that reveal the rhythms of early American life. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for a fun weekend outing, Living History Saturdays offer a dynamic and educational experience for all ages. The Gay Street Open-Air Market returns for 2026 from Friday, May 1st to Sunday, September 27th!  The Open-Air Market gives residents and visitors more space to shop, eat, and explore town. Four blocks of Gay Street are closed to vehicles every weekend, transforming into a pedestrian-friendly destination that is perfect for outdoor dining, boutique shopping, and leisurely strolls.  Important Details:• Where: Gay Street (from Matlack Street to Darlington Street)• When: Every weekend (Friday morning through Monday morning) from May 1st – September 27th• Website: www.downtownwestchester.com/openairmarket• Parking: www.downtownwestchester.com/parking  General Notes:• The streets are closed from roughly Friday at 8am to Monday at 8am.• Gay Street will also be closed to vehicles on Monday holidays and will start early on Thursdays ahead of Friday holidays.• Construction for new bollards is underway at several intersections on Gay Street. Some areas may be impacted on Friday mornings/afternoons, but should be open by Friday evenings. The goal is to have this project completed by June.• This event is rain or shine. Come to Upper Schuylkill Valley Park to help us celebrate this amazing little insect, the butterfly. This annual program will include information on tagging, feeding, and raising butterflies. There will be hands-on activities for the kids and much more. If the weather allows, we will release the tagged monarchs at the end of the program so they can begin their migration south. For all ages. Weather permitting. Suggested donation of $4 per person. Pre-registration is not required.

Get ready to set sail on a town-wide adventure with The Peppermint Stick's Pirate Quest right here in Boyertown! Captain Skollard and Captain Cherry have left behind a trail of secrets across town, and we need the bravest crews around to help uncover them. The Free Quest: Solve the Riddles!Everyone is invited to join in on the free portion of this exciting event! Gather your crew and follow a series of riddles scattered around Boyertown. Each clue you solve will lead you straight to the next location. Once you complete the trail and piece together the secret pirate phrase, you can submit it to enter our raffle for a chance to win a pirate themed gift basket! The Captain’s Treasure ChestFor a small fee, you can elevate your quest and test your fate for the ultimate grand prize. Choose your pirate ship and receive a special pirate key. As you explore town, hunt down the mysterious pirate skulls hiding in plain sight. Use your key to awaken the skulls so they can whisper the legendary tale of Captain Skollard and Captain Cherry. Pay close attention, because solving the riddle within their legend gives you the chance to try your key in the main Pirate's Treasure Chest.
