Every day from September 7 through October 26 An autumn tradition continues! For six fun-filled weeks, over 100 scarecrows line the brick pathways of our autumn-tinted Village. Some are inspired by famous characters, some are humorous, some are scary – but all of them are carefully handmade by Philly-area residents and organizations. The display is free and on view every day through October 26. Guests can vote for their favorite scarecrows via the Peddler’s Village mobile app. Creators of the winning scarecrows in each category win prizes. Grab your family and head on down to the 1978 annual Pumpkin Junction Fall Festival, where we celebrate the last Fall train with games, food and, most importantly, the yearly Pumpkin carving contest. But when the contest is mysteriously sabotaged, our gang of amateur sleuths make it their mission to uncover the mystery that lies behind this year’s old tradition. Be a part of the mystery as our group tries to solve the case of the Haunting of Pumpkin Junction. Our show begins 15 minutes before boarding, at our Town Square Stage right at the heart of the station, so please plan to arrive 30 minutes before departure so you don’t miss even one second of this mysterious adventure! The show will continue aboard our beautiful historic train cars and conclude back at the station, so stick around after deboarding and head back over to the Town Square Stage for the haunting conclusion of our mystery.

The Abington Fest 5K and Kids' Dash is back! These races are a part of Abington Fall Fest, a weekend of celebrations in Abington Township. The 5K race starts and ends in Roslyn Park, with a course that goes through the Roslyn neighborhood. There are rolling up-hills on the first half, with the second half coming downhill. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. There will be awards for the top finishers in each gender category, with an award for the first place finishers in each gender category who are Abington residents. The Kids' Dash will start at 8:00 a.m. and will be on the Marsden Soccer Field. The Kids' Dash will have staggered start times for age groups. Every child who participates will receive a medal. The race starts and ends at the Marsden Soccer Field. There is day-of check in and registration. There are three parking lots at Roslyn Park.

Drop your kids off at The Nature Place for a full day of exploring Angelica Creek Park, scientific experiments, and other hands-on activities perfect for the curious, adventure-seeker! Best for children aged 6+. Please pack a lunch and prepare your child appropriately for the outdoors and weather. In October, the Nature Explorers will find their muse in nature and get creative with painting, journaling, and nature mandalas! Each activity will challenge the Explorers to look closely at colors, shapes, and patterns found in the natural world while making "leave no trace" art that does not harm the environment. This hands-on day blends creativity, outdoor exploration, and gentle lessons in stewardship, giving kids a chance to express themselves while appreciating the space around them. Scholarships are available! We believe nature should be accessible and welcoming to all. With the support of our donors, Berks Nature is able to offer scholarships to children hoping to participate in the Nature Explorers program that would otherwise be financially unable to. About your guide: Forest Knight is one of Tyler’s Lead Educators. They help run Tyler’s school field trips and summer camp programs. They have a love of nature and have worked in the outdoor education field for 4+ years. RE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED The program is best suited for elementary school-aged children accompanied by an adult. Family and siblings of any age are welcome. Check in at the Visitor Center, where you’ll meet your guide. As with any walk at Tyler, sturdy shoes are suggested. PLEASE NOTE: Strollers may not be ideal on some of our trails. We recommend a carrier if you plan to bring an infant or young child. Weather or other factors may adjust the day’s topic, but nature will always shine through! In case of inclement weather, the tour will move indoors. MEMBERS: FREE NON-MEMBERS: $18 per adult; $10 per child ages 3-17; children two and under are free and do not need to be registered. AGES 8-12 This camp is currently at cast capacity. Journey to the African savanna with The Lion King KIDS! This vibrant musical adventure brings to life the beloved story of Simba, a young lion who must find his courage and take his place as king. Filled with unforgettable songs like “Hakuna Matata” and “Circle of Life,” dazzling characters, and powerful themes of family and responsibility, The Lion King KIDS is a heartwarming celebration of love, bravery, and the circle of life itself. Perfect for audiences of all ages, this colorful production will have you roaring with joy! Rehearsals: October 13 - November 13 Performances: Saturday, November 14 at 1:00pm & 4:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church Please note: Our Kids shows are shorter in length and use minimal costumes, props, and sets. Young bakers ages 8-15 are invited to a fun evening of learning how to decorate Halloween themed cupcakes! Each participant will receive 6 cupcakes (3 vanilla & 3 chocolate), pre-filled buttercream piping bags with stainless steel piping tips, decorations and a box. Dana Schwartz, instructor & owner of Schwartz & Sprinkles Cakes will walk everyone through fun, Halloween designs sharing her knowledge, tips & tricks along the way! (Parent assistance is optional if space permits.) Tickets: All event purchases are final – no refunds or exchanges. Tickets cannot be transferred to a different date. Please join us for a fall family friendly country concert at our Hatfield Farm! There will be fun for all at the family activity zone with a giant Connect 4 , Corn Hole and other lawn games. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Headlining the event is national Country Artist Brandon Davis, who will perform from 2-4pm. After a nearly fatal car crash in 2019, Brandon Davis realized how short life can be. With the support of his family, he picked up his guitar and began releasing heartfelt songs that quickly captured the attention of millions. Billboard and major outlets shared his story as his second release, “Step by Step,” hit #4 on the Billboard charts, launching him into national recogntion. In 2022, Brandon joined Tim McGraw on a 17show U.S. tour, performing for packed arenas across the country. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Garden of Health Food Bank, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organiza;on dedicated to helping low-income households access healthy food in order to thrive. The Daniel Boone Homestead Associates are excited to celebrate the arrival of fall with the Homestead’s annual Heritage Day event. Heritage Day features a variety of colonial and early American demonstrations, trades, and hands-on activities. This year’s highlights include blacksmithing and gunsmithing, candle dipping and quill pen writing, leatherworking, open hearth cooking, spinning, and an eighteenth-century fashion display. Plus, Stone House History will be returning this year with their tape weaving and wood carving demonstrations. The event also includes a variety of artisan craft and specialty food vendors plus fall activities for children like pumpkin painting. The Boone House and the Bertolet Log House will be open for tours as well. And because one event is not enough and we want to keep celebrating America250 all year long, we’ll be expanding this year’s Heritage Day to include some 250th-themed demonstrations and activities. Join us for Hayrides at Prophecy Creek Park! Hay wagons take passengers to the upper field for a bonfire, a spooky storyteller, and a witch serving up hot cider out of a cauldron! A fun, festive, family event! Glow necklaces are provided by Whitpain Police Association on a first come, first served basis. Wagons do a continuous loop throughout the evening - get on the wagon after you pay and enjoy the ride to the bonfire. When you're ready to leave, hop on the next wagon that will take you back down to the main entrance. Wagons pick-up passengers every 10-15 minutes. Last wagon leaves the parking lot at 8:45pm. You've heard of pumpkin carving, but what about pumpkin SCIENCE? The whole family is invited to engage in some hands-on (and at times messy) science exploration focused on your favorite fall gourd: the pumpkin! Each family will work with their own pumpkin though a series of activities including scientific observation, a guided pumpkin dissection, and a pumpkin seed investigation! And yes, you'll get the chance to carve your pumpkin at the end of our experiments. This lab program is filled with testing, inquiry, and messy fun for everyone! The cost of registration is per pumpkin for a family of up to four people, making this a fun, shared experience for siblings and caregivers! Please note, end times are approximate. The Witches of Narberth is an free scavenger hunt where kids of all ages search downtown Narberth for witches while collecting treats along the way. The event starts at 1:00 pm at the corner of Forrest & Haverford Aves. Kids pick up a clue card to get stamped by each witch. When all the witches are found, kids return to the start to turn in their card and collect a Halloween prize. The hunt goes until 4 pm or until prizes are gone. Costumes are welcome, but optional. FINDING US: We are in The Shops at Valley Square (Rtes. 611 & 132) 1507 Main St, Warrington PA. 18976 Paint and have fun! Invite friends & family and bring your favorite beverage and snacks. We’ll provide all your painting supplies and instructions. No art experience is necessary. Our artist will guide you to complete your own work of art, which you'll get to take home at the end of this class. We require a mimimum of 4 guests to host an event, we reserve the right to cancel the event if we are under our minimum. Please arrive 10-20 minutes before the class scheduled painting time to get checked in and setup. Guests can explore Arnold’s Fun Center, collecting treats and surprises from our sponsors! Kids and parents alike are encouraged to dress up and explore Arnold’s Family Fun Center, following a special Halloween Trick or Treat Map to collect goodies from a lineup of local family-friendly vendors and businesses.

Celebrate the fall at our Autumn Leaf Fest! Kids and families will explore the colors and shapes of the season, get wild while jumping in leaf piles, and channel their creativity through various leaf-themed crafts including leaf pressing and leaf painting. Learn, laugh, and enjoy all things leaves! This program will run concurrently with an adults-only Autumn Leaf Fest hike, allowing caregivers to enjoy an afternoon of relaxed leaf peeping as welll! Please note, children may only be dropped off and left under the supervision of Berks Nature staff ONLY if their caregiver is attending the adults-only Autumn Leaf Fest hike. Otherwise, a parent or guardian must remain with their child during this leaf-ful celebration. Pre-School Program - Boo Bash Put on your favorite costume and join us for a spooktacular evening of Halloween fun made just for our littlest friends! Preschoolers ages 3–5 will enjoy a not-so-scary night filled with hands-on activities, creativity, and festive fun. Create your own silly monster mask, mix up a magical potion, decorate a mini pumpkin, and team up for some hilarious mummy wrapping fun! Bring the kiddos to the zoo for a night of trick-or-treating fun! Adults and children are encouraged to dress up in their best costume. Guests can enjoy animal meet and greets included with their ticket. Don’t forget your trick-or-treat bag! Adults 21+ can visit Zoo Brew during the event for drink specials. Get spooky with Berks Nature on this sweet adventure! Put on your favorite costume and take a guided twilight hike through Angelica Creek Park, collecting candy from baskets placed along the trail - it's trick-or-treating in the park! A Berks Nature naturalist will help you spot other unexpected treats, like animal signs or nocturnal wildlife. At the end of the hike, settle down for even more sweets: roasted s'mores over our crackling fire pit. Costumes are encouraged but not required, but please bring a flashlight for the hike. **This class is recommended for age 8 and up. Anyone under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. GUESTS MUST BE 21 TO CONSUME ALCOHOL.** We use acrylic paint in our events. It is non-toxic, but does stain fabric. We provide aprons for guests to wear, but we recommend wearing clothing you wouldn’t mind getting a little paint on. Click UPGRADES AVAILABLE to add Glitter or a DIY Scented Soy Wax Candle to your reservation! Arrive 15-20 minutes early to get uncorked, smocked & in your seat! Late arrivals may not be allowed to paint, and forfeit their registration fee.
