Every day from September 7 through October 26 An autumn tradition continues! For six fun-filled weeks, over 100 scarecrows line the brick pathways of our autumn-tinted Village. Some are inspired by famous characters, some are humorous, some are scary – but all of them are carefully handmade by Philly-area residents and organizations. The display is free and on view every day through October 26. Guests can vote for their favorite scarecrows via the Peddler’s Village mobile app. Creators of the winning scarecrows in each category win prizes.   Scarecrow Festival September 19 & 20 A weekend of fall family fun including scarecrow-making workshops, pumpkin painting, live musical entertainment, and children’s activities. The Falls Township Touch a Truck event is a FREE, family-friendly, hands-on event offering children the opportunity to EXPLORE, CLIMB, and TOUCH trucks, emergency response vehicles and heavy machinery. Children will meet personnel who protect, serve, and build our community. This experience is a valuable learning opportunity for children as our sponsors can explain how these gigantic vehicles serve the community in such ways as first response (police/fire/EMS), farming, manufacturing, construction, etc. Other activities such as a bounce house, balloon artistry and much more will be available. Food/drink will be available for purchase.

Celebrate fall, pumpkins… and plenty of scarecrows! Scarecrow Festival on Saturday & Sunday, September 19 & 20 is a weekend of fall family fun including scarecrow-making workshops, pumpkin painting, live musical entertainment, and children’s activities. The event hours are 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on both days. Peddler’s Village shops will be open until 8 p.m. on Saturday. Admission and parking are free. Event is rain or shine. While you’re enjoying the weekend, stroll around to see Scarecrows in the Village, a showcase of over 150 creative and colorful scarecrows designed by members of the public, now in its 47th year! The scarecrows are on outdoor display from Monday, September 7 through Sunday, October 26.

Join us this year for a new Makerspace experience! Our Kids’ Makerspace is a hands-on zone and free family event where children can enjoy an engaging storytime and then complete a make-and-take project. From building simple machines to trying out recycled art projects, it’s the perfect place for young minds to tinker, invent, and play. This month is harvest themed! Children will create autumn crafts for them to take home.

As always, feel free to bring your lawn chairs, beach towels and favorite snacks down to borough hall every movie night this summer. We will have fresh popcorn popping  as always, and maybe some other treats to enjoy - you'll have to swing by to find out. See you there!
