Scarecrows in the Village

Peddler's Village 2400 Street Road, New Hope

Every day from September 7 through October 26 An autumn tradition continues! For six fun-filled weeks, over 100 scarecrows line the brick pathways of our autumn-tinted Village. Some are inspired by famous characters, some are humorous, some are scary – but all of them are carefully handmade by Philly-area residents and organizations. The display is free and on view every day through October 26. Guests can vote for their favorite scarecrows via the Peddler’s Village mobile app. Creators of the winning scarecrows in each category win prizes.   Scarecrow Festival September 19 & 20 A weekend of fall family fun including scarecrow-making workshops, pumpkin painting, live musical entertainment, and children’s activities. The event hours are 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on both days. Click here to learn more. Scarecrow-Making Workshops September 19, 20, 26 Construct a life-size scarecrow to take home. You will be provided with step-by-step instructions, plenty of straw, and a pre-made kit containing clothing, and decorations. Click here to learn more. On Saturday & Sunday, October 10 & 11 from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m., join us for the 10th Annual OctoberFeast! Enjoy a weekend featuring Oktoberfest-inspired food, lively music, activities, and a beer garden. Grab your stein and stroll amongst larger-than-life scarecrows every day through October 25, part of our 47th Annual Scarecrows in the Village! Peddler’s Village shops will be open until 8 p.m. on Saturday. Admission and parking are free.

Unplugged Family Day: Spooky Spider Web Weavings

Sunday, October 11 Free with pre-registration First Session: 1–2 p.m. Second Session: 2–3 p.m. There are two sessions available for this event. Please select the correct session you wish to attend when registering for this event. For this month’s Unplugged Family Day, families will make a woven spider web craft inspired by the season and the upcoming exhibition Barbara Moon Boertzel: Listening to Time. Please note: This is not a drop-off program. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
