Kids Dig History is back this summer starting on June 27! Get your hands dirty at the archaeology dig and in the kitchen garden. Screen dirt to look for artifacts such as redware pottery and animal bones, then help wash and dry brush artifacts in the lab. Try your hand at planting, weeding, or harvesting vegetables. Depending on the day, additional pop-up living history programs will be happening simultaneously.

SummerFest is a free community event hosted by Valley Forge Baptist and Upper Providence Township, featuring family-friendly entertainment, local food vendors, and a fireworks finale. Highlights include: Faith & Blue community event with opportunities to meet the Upper Providence Township Police and explore emergency/service vehicles through a Touch-a-Truck experience.Family activities and games such as Grandpop Bubbles, a video game trailer, axe throwing, face painting, an indoor playland, LED mini golf, and a zipline.Food trucks and vendors offering a wide variety of options, including pizza, wings, burgers, hot dogs, wraps, kebabs, smoothies, coffee, ice cream, shaved ice, donuts, African cuisine, fried foods, sweet corn, and more.Fireworks show at 9:00 PM, with viewing from the township fields. Designated areas on Field 6 will be available for blankets and chairs. Parking & Transportation Off-site parking is available at Black Rock Park.Complimentary shuttle service will run from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, except during the fireworks display. Rain Date: August 2, 5:00–9:30 PM. SummerFest offers an evening of community connection, family entertainment, food, and fireworks for residents and visitors of all ages.
