Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is one of the Philadelphia Waterfront's favorite summertime traditions. It features roller skating, outdoor boardwalk games and rides, mini-golf, and great food and drinks, all set against soaring views of the Delaware River and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Summerfest is the perfect place for a family outing, a school trip, date night, or a meet-up with friends. Sign up for our email newsletter for updates about unique experiences and promotions. Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is open May 23, 2025, through September 1, 2025, seven days a week, including holidays. Dogs on leashes are welcome on-site in all outdoor areas. The site is FREE to enter and open to the public Hours of Operation Monday – Thursday: 1 pm – 10 pm Friday: 1 pm – 11 pm (*May 23 park opens at 5 pm) Saturday: 11 am – 11 pm Sunday: 11 am – 10 pm Please note that park hours are subject to change. Check back for updates. Reserve Your Roller Skating Tickets In Advance  General admission to the park is free; food, drinks, and amusements are available for a pay-as-you-go fee. Summerfest is a dog-friendly site. However, dogs are not permitted in the Lodge. Please note: All activities close at least 30 minutes before the park closes. One-of-a-kind award-winning Once Upon A Nation Storytelling Benches are located throughout Philadelphia’s Historic District, telling riveting stories of our nation’s history in the places where they actually happened. Specially-trained, uniformed storytellers delight and entertain with free, short 3-to-5-minute stories while sharing the secrets of Philadelphia’s and America’s history. Visit all eight benches and you’ll receive a certificate and earn a special surprise in Franklin Square. Individuals, farms, families, businesses and community groups can support our annual event, and continue this Chester County tradition of equestrian sport. The Country Fair Midway features shopping, entertainment, inflatables rides and games for the whole family. You can grab a bite to eat, sit in our beer garden and watch the competition. $10 per carload at at the Main Gate.
