    Our annual Holiday Festival, held in the Victorian splendor of our 1892 Public School Building decorated for Christmas, is a Kutztown tradition that kicks off the holiday season. Get a head start on Christmas shopping with our talented group of artists and craftsmen, eat a home cooked meal, see our H-O train display running to its fullest, and enjoy time with friends. There is also a quilt raffle, as well as a raffle for items donated by our vendors and the Kutztown community. NO ADMISSION FEE. We hope to see you all.

    Our Annual Tree Lighting and Arrival of Santa event is happening Saturday, November 21st 4-7pm! There will be Bounce Houses, Glitter Tattoos, Face Painting, Music, activities with Go with YOYO and take your own pictures with the Elves and Santa & Mrs. Claus! There will be FREE Hot Chocolate from Travelin' Tom's and food for purchase from numerous Food Trucks!

  • Nature Explorers: Winter Party (Ages 6+)

    Drop your kids off at The Nature Place for a full day of exploring Angelica Creek Park, scientific experiments, and other hands-on activities perfect for the curious, adventure-seeker! Best for children aged 6+. Please pack a lunch and prepare your child appropriately for the outdoors and weather.  The Nature Explorers will close out the year with a fun and cozy Winter Party! Cuddle up with some popcorn and hot cocoa for some seasonal, nature-friendly movie watching. If the weather allows, we'll breathe in the crisp air on a short winter hike and play games in the Nature Play Zone (including sleddnig if the conditions are right!). The year's end celebration provides a space of rest and play for Nature Explorers, and a child-free day for parents looking to get a headstart on holiday preparations! Scholarships are available! We believe nature should be accessible and welcoming to all. With the support of our donors, Berks Nature is able to offer scholarships to children hoping to participate in the Nature Explorers program that would otherwise be financially unable to.     For many families in eighteenth century America, Christmas was a time for celebration, feasting, and frivolity. Join us at the Daniel Boone Homestead and experience Christmas as it was almost 300 years ago with your family and friends. Visitors can learn about English and Pennsylvania German holiday celebrations, visit with Santa and the Belsnickel, and enjoy Christmas crafts and activities. Throughout the historic area, visitors will hear about the different Christmas traditions of the families who lived on the property throughout the eighteenth century as they tour the festively decorated buildings.
