The Elizabethtown Fair is one of 109 Pennsylvania State Fairs. We offer animal, agricultural, competitive and commercial exhibits. We have a free barnyard, free nightly entertainment, contests for all ages, rides and lots of great food! Be sure to pick up our premium book which can be found at many local Etown businesses. Each August the Elizabethtown Fair provides an opportunity for the showcasing of agriculture in Lancaster County and surrounding counties. Many local civic organizations and church groups use the Fair as their principal fundraiser for the year. It is also an opportunity for local businesses and organizations to promote themselves. Summer isn’t over just yet! We’re hosting a Back to School Bash Dine every day this week where you can join your favorite furry friends as they share their favorite parts of going to school and enjoy a delicious, fun-filled feast! Dates: August 24 – August 30   School Supply Drive August 24 - August 30 We're excited to announce our Back-to-School Bash School Supply Drive! Bring your donations to the park, and as a thank you, you'll receive $10 Sesame Cash to spend on the day of your visit. To receive $10 Sesame Cash, please bring a new 17" backpack OR three of the following: disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, or tissues. Limit $20 Sesame Cash per household. Sesame Cash is only valid on the day received and will only be issued for the items listed above in the quantities listed above. All items will be donated to United Way of Bucks County, a local organization that assists families and school districts throughout the county. Join us at The Candy Lab August 24-28,2026 for our “End of” Summer Camp, 10am-noon.  Each two-hour session costs $40 (plus $2.40 sales tax). Perfect for ages 6+! We will be making edible crafts using candy, fruits and vegetables PLUS a bunch of super-fun candy-themed games.   Please note:  A minimum of 5 children per session is needed for the class to be held.

Do you have a little one who loves bugs? Bring your child (5+) to our bug lab and visit five interactive stations to learn about honeybees, dragonflies, butterflies, flies and ants. You will: Discover cool facts through hands-on-play; and Make five bug-themed crafts. Perfect for young bug explorers and their grown-up friends. (Please note: children must be accompanied by a grown-up for the duration of the workshop.) 11am and 1:30pm

The 2026 Oxford Harvest Festival, presented by Landhope Farms, is a day filled with local artisans and makers, delicious food, live music, seasonal fun, and plenty of opportunities to spend time with family and friends! Grab some delicious eats from one of the several food trucks at the festival, then save room for something sweet! Geared for children 10 and under, this family-friendly area will feature an inflatable corn maze, face painting, barrel train rides, balloon twisting, pumpkin painting, and more! We will be running a shuttle again at this year's event from an unpaved location about a 1/2 mile away. The shuttle will run the length of the festival. Do you have a young nature lover in your family who’s curious to learn more about the natural environment? Join the park naturalist for a morning of growing up on the wild side! These programs are designed for toddlers ages 3-6 and build on children’s wonder about nature, inviting them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Each Nature for Toddlers program will feature a different topic, August is: Water. Meet the park naturalist at the General Greene Pavilion. Come to Upper Schuylkill Valley Park to help us celebrate this amazing little insect, the butterfly. This annual program will include information on tagging, feeding, and raising butterflies. There will be hands-on activities for the kids and much more. If the weather allows, we will release the tagged monarchs at the end of the program so they can begin their migration south. For all ages. Weather permitting. Suggested donation of $4 per person. Pre-registration is not required.
