This child friendly event gives you and your children the opportunity to interact with live reptiles - ranging from a small gecko all the way up to a 70 pound Burmese python! Step up and ask questions, hold, pet or just observe these amazing creatures. 
While we welcome painters of any age, this painting is recommended for ages 6 & up. We use acrylic paint in our events. It is non-toxic, but does stain fabric. We provide aprons for guests to wear, but we recommend wearing clothing you wouldn’t mind getting a little paint on. All Ages classes are often made up of groups of kids and adults! ARRIVE: Please arrive about 10-15 minutes before scheduled painting time to check-in, get smocked, and settle in. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks. Late arrivals may not be allowed to paint, and forfeit their registration fee. SEATING REQUESTS: If you’re coming with others, but making reservations separately, give us your group’s name or point person in the Special Request box. We'll seat you together! *Adults who are just helping/watching do not need to reserve a seat, but please let us know if you plan to stay. LOCATION: 209 Leedom Street in Jenkintown Borough, across the street from the Fire House and Municipal Parking Lot. (Parking is .50 per hour until 8:00 pm) Parking is free on Wednesday night and all day Sunday.

Buckle up and unfold your map! The giant sand sculptures are returning this summer. For the fifth consecutive year, Peddler’s Village will present a Village-wide sand sculpture display created by world-renowned sand artists. “Sights in Sand: An American Road Trip” will celebrate the iconic landmarks and history of our nation, now in its 250th year. It’s not every day you can travel across the county in just an hour or two (by foot, no less!) to experience the five major regions–Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, and West–and the fantastic features of each. But this year at Peddler’s Village, we’ve made it possible! You’ll see the Statue of Liberty, the Kennedy Space Center, Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, and more. This free display is open to the public and will be on view to Village pedestrians through August 31. In addition to viewing the sand sculptures, visitors can shop at 60 specialty store and boutiques, dine indoors or outside, and enjoy spectacular gardens and landscaping. Families can enjoy Giggleberry Fair, the indoor fun center. Spacious overnight accommodations are available at the Golden Plough Inn.

Saturdays, June 13 through September 5 10 am to 4 pm Step into the past this summer at the Speaker’s House with our Living History Saturdays series, kicking off on Flag Day weekend. From Flag Day through Labor Day weekend, the grounds will come alive every Saturday with engaging, hands-on demonstrations that bring 18th-century life into vivid focus. Visitors can explore the daily experiences of Revolutionary War soldiers, witness traditional hearth cooking, and learn skilled crafts like tape weaving and wood turning. Additional demonstrations include historic laundry practices, trades of the period, and other immersive activities that reveal the rhythms of early American life. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for a fun weekend outing, Living History Saturdays offer a dynamic and educational experience for all ages.
