LITTLE BEES! Toddlers and Kiddies ages 18 months – 5 years old are welcome to come out and paint this handprint bunny plate. First we will paint then we will have Storytime! Project will be available for pick up 10 days after event. This paint is non-toxic and washes out of clothing with just water. *For toddlers we recommend at least one adult per child to help with craft.

When schools are closed, we are open! Keep curious young minds and busy bodies active with the Schuylkill Center Day-Off Camp. Trained educators lead students grades K-6 on unique nature-themed explorations that take advantage of our science lab, Discovery Center, and 365 acres of beautiful wooded trails, streams, and ponds. The theme for this week of spring break Day-Off Camp is Nature Detectives! Each day at camp will feature activities focused on finding and interpreting nature’s clues like tracks, scat, owl pellets, signs of new plant growth, beetle galleries and woodpecker holes in trees, and more! Come search for clues and unravel nature’s mysteries with us! Please bring a packed lunch, water bottle and an extra set of clothes. Wear weather-appropriate clothing that can get dirty. This April Fools' Day, we’re heading into the McKaig Nature Education Center for a hike that’s 100% real (we promise), even if the date feels suspicious. With sunset at 7:25 PM and the moon rising at 7:19 PM, we’ll be timing our departure from the Roberts Elementary School parking lot just as the shadows start to play tricks on your eyes. Is that a tree stump or a woodland prankster? Only one way to find out!

Bring the entire family to The Nature Place for a fun-filled aternoon of nature, wildlife, and outdoor adventure! During the Raptor Egg Hunt, kids will hunt for camouflaged "raptor eggs" hidden across the Nature Play Zone - each one filled with candy and stickers for a wild surprise. Then meet real raptors up close during an exciting LIVE bird show, presented by the John James Audubon Center.
