Come to our Pleiades Observatory at the Churchville Nature Center and learn about what’s in the night sky this time of year! On Friday, January 23rd at 7:00 pm, learn about the moon and planets, then get the chance to look at them through our telescopes. Highlights of the evening can include the waxing crescent moon and the Planet Jupiter. Admission is $8/person. Registration is required. Expected duration of the program is 2 hours. Saturday, January 24th 10am-3pm Winter CelebrationCome celebrate the winter season! Meet Frosty the Snowman and get your photo taken. Create some winter crafts and enjoy fun activities. This indoor space has displays to learn about mammals, bats, watersheds and more. Also, you can visit with our critters, including our rabbits, reptiles, and amphibians! Light refreshments will be provided. The building will be staffed from 10am until 3pm. No registration is needed for this event, please park in parking lot #1 and walk across the driveway to the building. We use acrylic paint in our events. It is non-toxic, but does stain fabric. We provide aprons for guests to wear, but we recommend wearing clothing you wouldn’t mind getting a little paint on. All Ages classes are often made up of groups of kids and adults!
