Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is one of the Philadelphia Waterfront's favorite summertime traditions. Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest is open May 23, 2025, through September 1, 2025, seven days a week, including holidays. Dogs on leashes are welcome on-site in all outdoor areas. The site is FREE to enter and open to the public Hours of Operation Monday – Thursday: 1 pm – 10 pm Friday: 1 pm – 11 pm (*May 23 park opens at 5 pm) Saturday: 11 am – 11 pm Sunday: 11 am – 10 pm Please note that park hours are subject to change. Check back for updates. Reserve Your Roller Skating Tickets In Advance  General admission to the park is free; food, drinks, and amusements are available for a pay-as-you-go fee. One-of-a-kind award-winning Once Upon A Nation Storytelling Benches are located throughout Philadelphia’s Historic District, telling riveting stories of our nation’s history in the places where they actually happened. Specially-trained, uniformed storytellers delight and entertain with free, short 3-to-5-minute stories while sharing the secrets of Philadelphia’s and America’s history. Visit all eight benches and you’ll receive a certificate and earn a special surprise in Franklin Square.
