You are invited to experience the same wholesome atmosphere filled with fellowship, food and friendly competition today that the founders of the Solanco Fair envisioned over 70 years ago. In the spring of 1950, a group of farm women enthusiastically decided that the Solanco area needed a fair of its own. With the help of many different community and agricultural based organizations, in September of that same year, the first Solanco Fair made its debut and was here to stay. Our Fair exhibits everything you’d expect from our farming community, and it also is well supported by businesses and organizations who want to share their products and services. Spread out on the grounds are numerous food stands sure to make sure no one goes hungry.

Experience the raw emotion and riveting drama of A Chorus Line, the sensational musical that gives voice to the faceless wonders of Broadway—the chorus dancers. This groundbreaking show, a winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and numerous Tony Awards, delves deep into the personal struggles, ambitions, and intricate lives of seventeen dancers vying for just eight spots in a Broadway production. As you watch their stories unfold through mesmerizing dance routines and poignant songs like “What I Did for Love” and “One,” you’ll be drawn into the harsh realities of the theatre world—its allure, its demands, and its heartbreaks. Directed by the exacting Zach, each dancer not only shares their art but bares their soul, revealing what drives them in an industry known both for its brilliance and brutality. With its blend of stunning performances and compelling narrative, A Chorus Line is more than a musical—it’s a celebration of passion, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of dreams. Market Day is an annual Newtown tradition in its 49th year that takes place in the historic borough streets and is highly anticipated by our close community and surrounding Bucks County. It has transformed throughout the years to feature high-quality fine artists, crafters, & food artisans. Market day is family friendly, with colonial-era demonstrations, reenactments & activities. There will be two stage areas with live music, our annual puppet show and scarecrow making. There will be an eatery area with food from local restaurants, food trucks and artisan bites. This event is organized by a team of dedicated volunteers and community members. All proceeds from Market Day support the Newtown Historic Association. Visit https://www.newtownhistoric.org/events/market-day/ for more information and to apply as an artist, food vendor or farmers market vendor.
