We love a day trip that is fun focused and family-friendly without the long distance and has all the amenities! We headed straight to the Splashplex water park when we arrived and it was the perfect sunny weather for it! The water attractions include several slides, a lazy river, Splash pad with amazing play structure, Relaxation and activity pool.
Once it was time to check in we walked over to the La Quinta by Wyndham hotel conveniently located across the street to relax, unwind and recharge. The rooms are spacious, cozy and so comfortable. The heated indoor pool was a big plus for my energy fueled daughter, it opens at 7am and when we encountered a rainy morning the next day the pool was the perfect option. There is also a shower, bathroom, pool towels, deck chairs and life vests available in this area.
We headed back to the FunPlex for more fun on the outdoor rides, grabbed some dinner and got ready for a night in .
The next morning we were given a delicious complimentary breakfast that include hot options like oatmeal, waffles, eggs and meat. Cereal, fruit, bagels and yogurt were also available. I am an eggs and bacon girl so I was happy to load up on those plus the potatoes, so yum! I loved the electric fireplace adding to the cozy feel of their lobby which had plenty of seating and tables.
After breakfast we hung out at the pool and relaxed in our room until the FunPlex opened at 10am, I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy an attraction and overnight stay that were located so conveniently and provided a budget friendly experience. The morning was a little overcast so we spent time playing in the arcade, Emma got a few more water slides in before we left and we cannot wait to come back because we still did not try everything there was to do. We definitely want to check out the water bumper boats, mini golf and hour of bowling that is included with your wristbands. SO MUCH FUN included, it’s a win win for families.
