Painting with a Twist Jenkintown 209 Leedom St, Jenkintown

While we welcome painters of any age, this painting is recommended for ages 6 & up. We use acrylic paint in our events. It is non-toxic, but does stain fabric. We provide aprons for guests to wear, but we recommend wearing clothing you wouldn’t mind getting a little paint on. All Ages classes are often made up of groups of kids and adults! ARRIVE: Please arrive about 10-15 minutes before scheduled painting time to check-in, get smocked, and settle in. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks. Late arrivals may not be allowed to paint, and forfeit their registration fee. SEATING REQUESTS: If you’re coming with others, but making reservations separately, give us your group’s name or point person in the Special Request box. We'll seat you together! *Adults who are just helping/watching do not need to reserve a seat, but please let us know if you plan to stay. LOCATION: 209 Leedom Street in Jenkintown Borough, across the street from the Fire House and Municipal Parking Lot. Saturdays, June 13 through September 5 10 am to 4 pm Step into the past this summer at the Speaker’s House with our Living History Saturdays series, kicking off on Flag Day weekend. From Flag Day through Labor Day weekend, the grounds will come alive every Saturday with engaging, hands-on demonstrations that bring 18th-century life into vivid focus. Visitors can explore the daily experiences of Revolutionary War soldiers, witness traditional hearth cooking, and learn skilled crafts like tape weaving and wood turning. Additional demonstrations include historic laundry practices, trades of the period, and other immersive activities that reveal the rhythms of early American life. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for a fun weekend outing, Living History Saturdays offer a dynamic and educational experience for all ages. Gay Street Open-Air market

The Gay Street Open-Air Market returns for 2026 from Friday, May 1st to Sunday, September 27th!  The Open-Air Market gives residents and visitors more space to shop, eat, and explore town. Four blocks of Gay Street are closed to vehicles every weekend, transforming into a pedestrian-friendly destination that is perfect for outdoor dining, boutique shopping, and leisurely strolls.  Important Details:• Where: Gay Street (from Matlack Street to Darlington Street)• When: Every weekend (Friday morning through Monday morning) from May 1st – September 27th• Website: www.downtownwestchester.com/openairmarket• Parking: www.downtownwestchester.com/parking  General Notes:• The streets are closed from roughly Friday at 8am to Monday at 8am.• Gay Street will also be closed to vehicles on Monday holidays and will start early on Thursdays ahead of Friday holidays.• Construction for new bollards is underway at several intersections on Gay Street. Some areas may be impacted on Friday mornings/afternoons, but should be open by Friday evenings. The goal is to have this project completed by June.• This event is rain or shine. We can't wait to welcome you to downtown Oxford for the 12th Annual Car Show, presented by Xfinity! This will be our biggest Car Show yet. Join us on Friday, September 4th, 2026 from 4:00-8:00pm in Downtown Oxford as we admire nearly 300 cars, bikes, and trucks as well as vendors and 12 food trucks. Be sure to check out our downtown merchants and restaurants, too! We will also have live music from the Demitri Grivas Band on the porch of the Oxford Hotel. Be sure to check in at 7:40 for our presentation of the awards. This year we have added a People's Choice award and an award for Best Import. Be sure to check out our 'Then & Now' display of antique cars all the way from a Stanley Steamer to a Rivian R1S Electric SUV.
