Scarecrows in the Village

Peddler's Village 2400 Street Road, New Hope

Every day from September 7 through October 26 An autumn tradition continues! For six fun-filled weeks, over 100 scarecrows line the brick pathways of our autumn-tinted Village. Some are inspired by famous characters, some are humorous, some are scary – but all of them are carefully handmade by Philly-area residents and organizations. The display is free and on view every day through October 26. Guests can vote for their favorite scarecrows via the Peddler’s Village mobile app. Creators of the winning scarecrows in each category win prizes.   Scarecrow Festival September 19 & 20 A weekend of fall family fun including scarecrow-making workshops, pumpkin painting, live musical entertainment, and children’s activities. Unplugged Family Day: Cut-and-Collage Landscapes

Sunday, September 13 Free with pre-registration First Session: 1–2 p.m. Second Session: 2–3 p.m. There are two sessions available for this event. Please select the correct session you wish to attend when registering for this event. For this month’s Unplugged Family Day, families will make fun collage landscapes inspired by the new exhibition Abstractions of Nature: Quarries and Industry in Pennsylvania Impressionism! Please note: This is not a drop-off program. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Ice Cream Social

Kutztown Area Historical Society 212 S. Whiteoak St., Kutztown

Join us for a day of music and ice cream at our annual event to thank the community for their support. Music provided by Les Meck and Friends. FREE Ice cream provided by BAD Farms. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the society grounds, the music, and your ice cream. The museum will also be open, and the trains will be running.
