This child friendly event gives you and your children the opportunity to interact with live reptiles - ranging from a small gecko all the way up to a 70 pound Burmese python! Step up and ask questions, hold, pet or just observe these amazing creatures.

Buckle up and unfold your map! The giant sand sculptures are returning this summer. For the fifth consecutive year, Peddler’s Village will present a Village-wide sand sculpture display created by world-renowned sand artists. “Sights in Sand: An American Road Trip” will celebrate the iconic landmarks and history of our nation, now in its 250th year. It’s not every day you can travel across the county in just an hour or two (by foot, no less!) to experience the five major regions–Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, and West–and the fantastic features of each. But this year at Peddler’s Village, we’ve made it possible! You’ll see the Statue of Liberty, the Kennedy Space Center, Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, and more. This free display is open to the public and will be on view to Village pedestrians through August 31. In addition to viewing the sand sculptures, visitors can shop at 60 specialty store and boutiques, dine indoors or outside, and enjoy spectacular gardens and landscaping. Families can enjoy Giggleberry Fair, the indoor fun center. Spacious overnight accommodations are available at the Golden Plough Inn.

SummerFest is a free community event hosted by Valley Forge Baptist and Upper Providence Township, featuring family-friendly entertainment, local food vendors, and a fireworks finale. Highlights include: Faith & Blue community event with opportunities to meet the Upper Providence Township Police and explore emergency/service vehicles through a Touch-a-Truck experience.Family activities and games such as Grandpop Bubbles, a video game trailer, axe throwing, face painting, an indoor playland, LED mini golf, and a zipline.Food trucks and vendors offering a wide variety of options, including pizza, wings, burgers, hot dogs, wraps, kebabs, smoothies, coffee, ice cream, shaved ice, donuts, African cuisine, fried foods, sweet corn, and more.Fireworks show at 9:00 PM, with viewing from the township fields. Designated areas on Field 6 will be available for blankets and chairs. Parking & Transportation Off-site parking is available at Black Rock Park.Complimentary shuttle service will run from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, except during the fireworks display. Inside Out returns for 2026 from Friday, May 22nd to Sunday, October 4th  The Open-Air Market gives residents and visitors more space to shop, eat, and explore town. The 100 and 200 blocks of Bridge Street are closed to vehicles every weekend, transforming downtown into a pedestrian-friendly destination that is perfect for outdoor dining, boutique shopping, and leisurely strolls. Did you know the Homestead is home to numerous bats? Join us for an evening program to learn more about the bats that live at the Daniel Boone Homestead. Led by Dr. Karen Campbell, retired Albright College professor, this program will consist of a presentation inside the Wayside Lodge followed by a walk to search for bats as dusk falls. Bat boxes are located throughout the Homestead property and bats can often be spotted nesting and flying around the site. Bats are the only mammals able to fly and are more agile while flying than most birds. Dr. Campbell earned her PhD from Indiana University in Vertebrate Physiology and Zoology. She has done extensive bat research at eastern Pennsylvania parks and historic sites including Valley Forge, Hopewell Furnace, and the Berks County Heritage Center. No admission is charged for this program. It will take place in the Wayside Lodge. Please no pets (except service animals) and no smoking. The event is funded and presented by The Daniel Boone Homestead Associates.

Join the Friends of Ridley Creek State Park trail crew on their monthly trail maintenance excursions where they care for park trails, remove invasive plants and other fun outdoor activities that greatly help our state parks. Enjoy some social time as well with others who care about natural resources and a healthy environment. The friends trail crew meets on the first Saturday of every month from 0900-1200 hrs and is open to all interested folks. Registration not required.

First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg has offered preschool services for 55 years! Come celebrate this amazing anniversary with our Family Fun Fest! This event is FREE to all attendees. There will be bounce houses for the kids, balloon animals/art, face painting, games with prizes, and more. Free food includes hotdogs, pretzels, chips, cotton candy, water, and slushies.
