  • Drive-In Zoovies: The Sandlot

    We’re hosting a series of special drive-in movie screenings in the Zoo’s parking lot! Our May Drive-In Zoovie is The Sandlot. See below for tickets and details. Zoovies | The Sandlot (1993) | 1hr 41m | Rated PG May 2 | 7:00 PM – Parking Lot Opens | 8:00 PM – Film Begins Tickets and Info* Adult Guest | $15 per adult Child Guest | $12 per child   * Guests must indicate how many cars they are bringing when purchasing tickets. Tickets are required for each guest (adult and child) attending. The parking lot will be open at 7 PM, and the film will begin at 8 PM. Our drive-in screenings are held in the former softball field section of the Zoo’s parking lot. Concessions will be available for purchase during the film. In the event of inclement weather, all ticket holders will be notified if a screening is canceled or rescheduled 2 weeks prior to the event. The radio station frequency broadcasting the film’s audio to cars will be provided to ticket holders in advance of the event.

  • Mother’s Day Brunch

Our annual Mother’s Day Brunches will take place on Saturday, May 9th and Sunday, May 10th – three time slots are available each day. Your ticket includes admission to the Zoo, brunch, and an animal meet and greet! Space is limited for this event, so please register early and arrive on time.   • Eco-Family Workshops: Gardening For The Birds

    World Migratory Bird Day is officially celebrated on the second Saturday of May, and this year the focus is on the role of public participation in collecting data on migratory bird populations, their habitats, and the factors that affect them, and in contributing to our knowledge of how to protect them. Fly on over to the Zoo to learn how to attract and provide vital habitat for native birds and other wildlife. Each family will take home their own native plant and participate in the Habitat Hero plant tracking program to see how individual efforts impact our local bird flyways!   This program is FREE to attend; registration is required.

  • Touch a Truck

    Elmwood Park Zoo 1661 Harding Blvd, Norristown, United States

    Join us for a hands-on, family-friendly event where kids (and kids at heart) can get up close with the vehicles that keep our community moving and safe. Climb aboard, explore, and discover a variety of trucks and equipment from Lower Providence PD and other local departments. Meet the officers and first responders who use them every day, ask questions, and see live demonstrations throughout the event.
