    Sign up for an exciting, hands-on program where curiosity and learning come to life as Little Explorers and their grown ups experiment and discover together. Where curiosity and learning come to life as Little Explorers and their grown ups experiment and discover together. Every month, a trained facilitator guides you through a new theme that sparks your child’s imagination while helping build critical skills through fun and interactive play. Each activity is designed to be easy for you to recreate at home with everyday materials, giving your child the chance to explore and engage with the world around them. Whether it’s learning about the wonders of sound, exploring the colors of the rainbow, or discovering the magic of play, your child will gain valuable knowledge they can use in everyday life. PRE-REGISTER—We kindly ask that all register in advance of attending this program so our facilitator can prepare materials. Registrations do not grant access to the museum.     Join us for our annual fall Cider Fest, a beloved community tradition celebrating the harvest season, local history, and time spent together. Now in its fourth year, this event continues the success of the past three festivals that brought families, neighbors, and friends together at the Mill to welcome autumn. Enjoy fresh apple cider from a local farm, historic milling and bread-baking demonstrations, artisan vendors, live music throughout the day, and a full schedule of children’s games and activities. We are also honored to welcome local first responders, who will spend time with families and children, showcasing their vehicles and equipment and offering an engaging, up-close experience that kids always enjoy. Live performances by the Blue Belles and the Lenape Brass Band add to the festive atmosphere, making this a full day of family fun set against the backdrop of one of Chester County’s historic treasures.     FOR ALL AGES Connect your family with the outdoors on this fun, interactive nature exploration designed to spark curiosity and wonder. Using simple tools like magnifying glasses, you will uncover the Arboretum’s plants, animals, and other seasonal highlights that bring the woodland trails to life. About your guide: Forest Knight is one of Tyler’s Lead Educators. They help run Tyler’s school field trips and summer camp programs. They have a love of nature and have worked in the outdoor education field for 4+ years.  RE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED The program is best suited for elementary school-aged children accompanied by an adult. Family and siblings of any age are welcome. Check in at the Visitor Center, where you’ll meet your guide. As with any walk at Tyler, sturdy shoes are suggested. PLEASE NOTE: Strollers may not be ideal on some of our trails. We recommend a carrier if you plan to bring an infant or young child. Weather or other factors may adjust the day’s topic, but nature will always shine through! In case of inclement weather, the tour will move indoors. MEMBERS:  FREE NON-MEMBERS: $18 per adult; $10 per child ages 3-17; children two and under are free and do not need to be registered. Admission is included in your price, so feel free to stay the day! GUEST PASS HOLDERS (for non-members only): FREE. Please give your guest passes to the Visitor Center Associate at check-in, or inform them that you are accompanying a Family or higher-level member as their guest. This program is free with your guest pass admission, so feel free to stay as long as you’d like after the program!     While we welcome painters of any age, this painting is recommended for ages 6 & up. We use acrylic paint in our events. It is non-toxic, but does stain fabric. We provide aprons for guests to wear, but we recommend wearing clothing you wouldn’t mind getting a little paint on. Click UPGRADES AVAILABLE to add Glitter or a DIY Scented Soy Wax Candle to your reservation! ARRIVE: Please arrive about 10-15 minutes early to check-in, get smocked, and settle in. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks. Late arrivals may not be allowed to paint, and forfeit their registration fee. SEATING REQUESTS: If you’re coming with others, but making reservations separately, give us your group’s name or point person in the Special Request box.   • 2026 Paoli Battlefield Heritage Day

    We invite you to come out to the Paoli Battlefield on Saturday, September 26th, from 11am to 4pm and enjoy this Family Fun event!! Enjoy our American Military Timeline with the help of our friends at Historical Military Impressions. Stroll through each impression and see how the soldiers dressed and what they carried into battle. Feel free to ask questions and learn about our brave fighting veterans. Stop by and visit with Benjamin Franklin (aka Mike Kochan), as he shows you the experiments that Benjamin Franklin did in the 1700’s. Mike has built replicas of some of his experiments for the Franklin Institute, and the Franklin Court Museum, both in Philadelphia. Noah Lewis will be there to share the story of Ned Hector, bombardier and member of the Continental army. He helped man the guns and Brandywine and was honored by Norristown naming a street Hector Street. Visit and enjoy other historical sites as they explain their connection to the history and culture of the area. You’d be surprised how some of these sites were created and what they do to celebrate their special day at their site. We are very happy to welcome back the USO which has helped support our troops all across the nation. Learn about the great programs they do to help our soldiers and their families. We will have a food trunk or two to help satisfy your appetite while you soak in the history. We have other crafters, vendors, and others to help you spend the day with us. To close out the day, we transition to our honor ceremony where we place wreaths at the gravesite of the 52 fallen men of the Battle of Paoli. We will do the wreath laying, firing salute, bagpipes, and taps to help honor these men, and all of our armed forces of the United States of America.

Our artist will guide you to complete your own work of art, which you'll get to take home at the end of this class.     Is your wild child also a budding artist? Free their inspiration in nature! Overlooking Angelica Creek Park's pond, each child will be situated with their own easel and painting supplies to let their creativity soar. Light refreshments will also be available to sustain their artistic endeavors. It's bound to be an afternoon of creativity, color, and natural inspiration! This program will run concurrently with an adults-only Paint by the Pond program, allowing caregivers to enjoy an afternoon of relaxed painting as well!     Our annual Fall fest train returns again this year! Pumpkins in Paradise at the Strasburg Rail Road, America’s longest running short line rail road, is a fall event featuring a 45-minute steam train ride through the beautiful Lancaster countryside, paired with a 40 minute stop at Groff’s Picnic Grove. Guests will enjoy fall-themed games, live music, and children will even receive a complimentary pumpkin! This family-friendly tradition returns this year on September 26.   • Red Cross Babysitter’s Clinic

    Limerick Township Building

    This basic-level American Red Cross course provides youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-15 years old. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate for Babysitter's Training. Clinic will be held at the Limerick Township Building from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. bring a pen and lunch. **Request of cancellation 14 days prior to the start of the camp will be issued a refund minus a $10 administrative fee, per participant. Refunds will not be granted for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the camp.
