The Highlands' Enchanted Garden Party will be on Sunday, SEPTEMBER 14th from 1 to 3 Fairies, Pirates and Mermaids oh my! We will be holding our annual enchanting fundraising festival this year with an awesome new feature - an Enchanted Fashion Show for kids and adults to show off their fantastical costumes. Among many more things, we will have a fairy themed garden walk, live mermaid fountain, pirate treasure hunt, bubble fairy, StoryTime, music, games, crafts, food and countless fun photo ops. Children will be able to collect items for their fairy garden, walk the plank, dig for buried treasure and visit with a bubble fairy, real mermaid and Bianca the magical (six foot stuffed) unicorn! With the help of many different community and agricultural based organizations, in September of that same year, the first Solanco Fair made its debut and was here to stay. Our Fair exhibits everything you’d expect from our farming community, and it also is well supported by businesses and organizations who want to share their products and services. Departing from Boyertown, join us for the best foliage in Pennsylvania! Spectacular autumn colors and the rich fragrances of fall in the Secret Valley delight the senses. Everyone gets a donut and cider while enjoying the bliss of the Secret Valley. This is a one-hour excursion. Please note that coach class passengers have a limited selection of options on this excursion, as it only includes donuts and cider, as opposed to a full à la carte menu on our regular excursions. Passengers in the Beaver car, Dining car, and Lounge car will have an A La Carte menu with snacks and drinks for purchase, in addition to the complimentary donuts and cider. Passengers in the First-Class Parlor will receive a complimentary beverage, a champagne toast, as well as cider and donuts which are included in their tickets. A La Carte menu offerings are available for purchase. The first-class cars are reserved for ages 13+. This is a one-hour excursion departing from Boyertown. All excursions are subject to change/postponement/cancellation at the discretion of the Colebrookdale Railroad. Fares shown below are approximate and can vary with the offerings of each excursion. The Marcus Hook Pirate Festival returns to port with a full pirate encampment, demonstrations, wares, firearms, cannons, and beer making. Ye be games, food, live pirate music, noy rides, a petting zoo, face painting. All funds raised from the event go toward the restoration of the historic Plank House, also known as Blackbeard’s Mistress’ House.
Join Canine Partners for Life on Saturday, September 20th for our Fall Festival featuring Cow Bingo! This FREE, fun-filled day will take place from 12:00–4:00pm at CPL’s campus, 334 Faggs Manor Road, Cochranville, PA 19330.
