Sights in Sand: An American Road Trip

Peddler's Village 2400 Street Road, New Hope

Buckle up and unfold your map! The giant sand sculptures are returning this summer. For the fifth consecutive year, Peddler’s Village will present a Village-wide sand sculpture display created by world-renowned sand artists. “Sights in Sand: An American Road Trip” will celebrate the iconic landmarks and history of our nation, now in its 250th year. It’s not every day you can travel across the county in just an hour or two (by foot, no less!) to experience the five major regions–Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, and West–and the fantastic features of each. But this year at Peddler’s Village, we’ve made it possible! You’ll see the Statue of Liberty, the Kennedy Space Center, Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, and more. This free display is open to the public and will be on view to Village pedestrians through August 31. In addition to viewing the sand sculptures, visitors can shop at 60 specialty store and boutiques, dine indoors or outside, and enjoy spectacular gardens and landscaping. Families can enjoy Giggleberry Fair, the indoor fun center. Spacious overnight accommodations are available at the Golden Plough Inn.

Beginning June 1 and continuing through August 31, Peddler’s Village will be presenting “Sights in Sand: An American Road Trip”—a FREE village-wide sand sculpture display celebrating the natural wonders, national landmarks, and history of our nation’s 250th year. With your map at hand (available in the Visitor & Event Center), start your cross-country sightseeing journey to see how world-renowned sand artists have transformed iconic American landmarks into sculptures; including, the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, and more. Kids will enjoy play-all-day sandboxes and a scavenger hunt where they can win a kid-friendly prize! (while supplies last) The Artists Team Sandtastic Dean Arscott, Karen Fralich, Dan Belcher, Brian Turnbough, Andy Daily Team Sandtastic is based around the Tampa Bay Area, and creates 100 to 150 unique sculptures a year. With a core team of full-time members and associate sculptors around the globe, they create high quality sand sculptures worldwide. Enjoy free parking, games, concessions, rides, and nightly bingo at 7 p.m. throughout the week. Wristband nights run Tuesday through Thursday, July 7-9, with all-you-can-ride wristbands available from 6 p.m. until close. Friday, July 10 features regular ride prices plus a fireworks display, and Saturday, July 11 offers regular prices, serving as the fireworks rain date. Please note that wristbands are not valid for the Fun House or Ferris Wheel, and an ATM is on-site for cash-only SFD food purchases.
